Although we have had a couple more enquiries for membership this week, this blog is not about membership.
It is, however, about another visit to Hatfield House, this time for their annual Country Show which is held  this weekend on the Hertfordshire Estate.
As a first time exhibitor at the country show, I was delighted to be invited to welcome drinks on the first evening at the request of Lord & Lady Salisbury and subsequently had the pleasure of receiving 3rd prize in the Best Sausage competion from her Ladyship ( knock me down with a feather) especially as it was the first competition of this kind I have ever entered. Members of North Harrow have attended this event for a couple of years now and a few of us including David Russell (Estate Operations Manager) are enjoying the activities which include dog and pedigree livestock shows, steam engine displays, fine food, competitions and exhibitions. With temperatures expected to reach 30c, sunblock will be worn.
